What did they want?

Ben and Anna had been living in a new build for 5 years. Unhappy with the look of the laminate in their kitchen, they found us online and dropped into the showroom to investigate how to improve the look of their kitchen without the cost of replacing the whole thing.

Our approach

Starting with an idea of budget, we discussed how the kitchen would be used, to make sure the right material was proposed. With two children, the kitchen was to be the workhorse of the house and Ben wanted something beautiful that he didn’t need to worry about. The couple wanted the worktop to be the star of the show so looked for loud patterns.

The delivery

Ultimately, they landed on Abu Dhabi White; a sintered stone, from Neolith, that offered the durable properties they needed combined with a design inspired by classic white marble with golden and grey veins.

Moving from laminate, Ben and Anna decided to update their sink and tap, changing from an inset sink to an undermount so they lost as little of the stunning stone they chose. We proposed a recessed drainer as the most inconspicuous option, especially since most sintered stone is not full bodied. The sink and tap, from our partner 1810, offered a final finish to the perfect kitchen upgrade.

Feedback

Bellagio were brilliant! The showroom team helped us through every step of the process, from understanding the cost, to making the stone look its best. The fit team were prompt and friendly. Our kitchen looks stunning, and knowing its durable is a relief. We couldn’t be happier, thanks Bellagio!
